  • -What type of therapy is provided at Communicate to Wellness (CTW)?
Communicate to Wellness (CTW) provides individual, couple, and family therapy through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
  • Do you provide in-person therapy sessions?
At this time, I do not offer in-person therapy sessions. I recognize that telehealth is a unique format for conducting therapy, and it may not be the best fit for every individual, couple, or family. To ensure telehealth meets your needs, we will use the initial assessment to explore your history, current concerns, and therapeutic goals. Together, we will determine the most appropriate path forward—whether that involves setting short-term and long-term goals or identifying referrals that may better support your needs.
  • How are therapy sessions structured at Communicate to Wellness?
First, we will have a 15-minute telephone consultation. Second, we will schedule an initial assessment for 50 minutes. During the initial assessment we will discuss your history, goals, and current concerns. I will collaborate with you to determine the most effective way to move forward with sessions; short term goals (STG), long term goals (LTG) or if referrals will be necessary. Third, we will begin sessions based on the schedule mutually agreed upon by therapist and client. Sessions (no matter the type) will be 50 minutes long in duration. Homework, readings, activities may be given to ensure what was processed in session will be absorbed and utilized throughout the weeks.
  • Do you accept insurance?
Communicate to Wellness is currently in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and Meritain insurance plans. We also work with out-of-network insurance providers, which may allow you to receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions depending on your specific plan. If you’d like to explore your out-of-network benefits, follow these steps: Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card. Ask: What is my deductible for out-of-network mental health services? Ask: What percentage of each session is reimbursed after I meet my deductible? Ask: How do I submit a superbill or receipt for reimbursement? Once you have this information, I’ll be happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (often called a superbill) to submit to your insurance provider. Have questions about this process? I’m happy to help guide you through it.
